I adore audiobooks. I became addicted during university when textbooks took up my reading capacity. It was a way for me to explore new ideas, people and places and extend my knowledge. It was also a place to indulge in the more light-hearted titles, plough through different spiritual/self-development texts and give something new a try. I find that there are some titles I’d rather listen to than read, especially those that are read by the author.
I found audiobooks the perfect solution when I would get frustrated with the radio and sometimes bored with music (I like music, but I’m not a music person). I still find audiobooks one of my favourite escapes. My ‘wishlist’ on Audible is long and my excitement is embarrassingly unmeasurable when I get to tune into a book I am loving. I listen in the car, when I’m cooking, when I’m relaxing at home and when I’m exercising. Yep, exercising. For some reason I hate pounding the pavement less when I’m listening to a great audiobook.
Keep in mind, this page is dynamic. If I didn’t dig a title, I’ll remove it and if I loved it, I’ll review it and link to it.
